Former VABA camper heading to Hampden-Sydney

Covenant alum and four year VABA camp veteran Sam Dale has officially committed to play basketball at Hampden-Sydney College. Dale signed to HSC after playing two years at Allegany College of Maryland. Dale attributes his success to the years he spent attending the Virginia Basketball Academy. "I learned how to push myself and endure adversity to achieve success" Dale remarks "The coaches at VABA taught me how to be competitive....not just in basketball but in life as well. The coaches inspire you to work at your maximum potential."

Sam has definitely  achieved success in his career up to this point. He was a 3 year veteran at The Covenant School and has transferred that success into his early collegiate years. He was ranked sixth in the nation in the JUCO division in Free throw percentage as well as being a primary scorer for the team. He also contributed 6.5 rebounds per game as well as 3 assists per game.

After Graduation, Dale aspires to be a coach at the College level.
